Does anyone have an idea or picture of what your cake will look like. I realize it's still early, but I saw this beautiful birch cake I wanted but now can't find a picture.

Until March almost all of our siggies have pictures of our cakes, just look through some of threads.

Also, google images is your friend.

Google images is a great idea. I used it to find pictures of cakes. It was really helpful to be able to look at different images and then I pinned them to PInterest. I emailed them to the cake designer before we went to our meeting.

In the end it didn't matter though. We showed her a picture of our STDs and invites and she started sketching out a design that incorporated elements from both. I'm really excited about it.

Agreed, google images or pinterest if you are on it. And I really don't think it is still too early to start thinking about that! It's nice to get anything out of the way at any point.

That's cool PetalPockets that your cake decorator sketched out a design for you! Do you have pictures of it you can show us, or at least describe it?

Oh sorry I didn't realize the siggy was of cakes. Shows how observant I am! Haha. I want it to be a birch cake. The one I saw looked so realistic, the bark was peeling off and there was little pine cones all over it. And at the top was a birdsnest. I guess once I make an appt with my caterer i can explain it and hopefully she can come close or do better.

I like the first and fourth, add peeling park to the fourth and I think it would be perfect

The second one is frightening! Is the tree melting?! I agree I like the first look of the bark and the fourth with the birds. I will have to take these ideas to the meeting, when I get one..

It's going to be a 3 tier round cake. The bottom will have the image you see on our STD with the man/woman. The middle will be a continuation with branches and leaves. The top will have the heart with our initials you see on the invitation.
