October 2012 Weddings

Starting to melt down a little....

With 29 days to go before the "best day of my life", I am starting to melt down a bit.  My FI and I are paying for our entire wedding.  Today, I was looking at things that still need to be paid for and realized that money is going to be super tough over the next month.  With this being said I am going to have to skip printing the programs (no ink in the printer or that they are really needed), we are going to have to scale back our wedding bands (which we could get the "real" ones for our 1 year anniversary, and no they have not been bought yet), etc.  There are are options for each thing that I am having problems with but I am acting like a 3 year old and I want it done now and the way I want it done.  Someone please snap me back to reality on this!!!!

  • Step 1: Print this picture and hang it over your desk.
I hope this made you smile.
    Anniversary wedding-1 my read shelf:
Heidi's book recommendations, liked quotes, book clubs, book trivia, book lists (read shelf)
  • Ok first let me say, it's alright to be disappointed, you have a vision and you want THAT vision. Now kudos to you for realizing that you can't have everything you want and being a grown up about it. Your day will still be awesome, and people won't miss what they didn't know they were going to have anyway. As far as the rings, just look at it as something to look forward to in the future. Most women have to wait 10 years or more to upgrade their wedding ring!
  • Go read the post thread from today "Overwhelmed". That really put things in perspective for me! Her house burned down this year taking with it almost all of her wedding things and a beloved pet.

I think we're getting married on the same day (October 20 for you too?) and it is amazing how many bills are coming in the next 2-3 weeks.

Hang in there, cut where you can and just think, when you pay it now you don't have to pay it when you get home from the honeymoon! (That's what I'm telling myself!)
  • To all thank you for you words of encouragement. EAD, yes we are wedding day twins. Me and my FI are paying for everything in cash for our wedding, so there will be no bills after the wedding. There are so many things that are due in these next few weeks that it is a bit overwhelming. I have to say that I have the best MOH on earth, without her, my wedding would not be as beautiful as it is going to be. I am very grateful to have her.
