Can we talk cake toppers?

.....because I'm in love with mine! When FI and myself announced that we were getting married in october the first thing out of his uncle's mouth was "Well screwed yourself out of moose season didn't you?".... FI is a hunter and comes from a hunting family.

So my mom made these

NOTE: she is missing her veil and bouquest, and he also has not been baked yet so he is a different colour.

So what does your cake topper say about you as a couple?

Our cake topper is penguins. I love penguins and I call fi my penguin and fi calls me queen penguin. its actually the only thing penguin at the wedding right now...

We have a Willow Tree cake topper, but i just wanted to share something....

Our original date was October 20th. When we told my dad his head snapped up and he said "That's moose season!" -- I know he was exagerrating so it was funny. He was happy when we changed it to the 13th (for unrelated reasons).

However, the 13th is one of my uncle's moose hunting weekend. He keeps saying he's coming to our wedding in camo lol I just can't win!

I just went with a simple/elegant monorammed B. I wanted my cake to be simple and elegant...I'm not sure what Fi would have picked. His Groomscake will have a bulldozer like its bulldozing dirt on it for his job with the forestry.

We have mario and peach as our cake toppers. We aren't doing the traditional cake though, we are having a super mario brothers cake.

I ordered this cake topper. It should be arriving this week. When FI proposed, we were fishing and he tied my ring onto his rod and dangled in front of my face. When I turned around he was down on one knee.

I made our own Asian couple topper. He's a car guy and we've decided to name each table after a sports car he's owned. He didn't want a grooms cake (which would've been his current. most favorite car Lotus Exige) so I made a cake topper instead...it's a surprise :P

The moose are so cute!

Here is ours:

My fiance is a Harley man, most of our free time during riding season revolves around bikes so it seemed fitting. That's actually his bike. He's done some customizing on it since this picture, but the baker has the topper now.

We are actually using my grandparents cake topper they used at their wedding. They have been happily married 53 years (well, 53 years on 9/6) and if my marriage is half as wonderful as theirs seems to have been, we'll have done ok.

These are all so cute! I still haven't ordered mine but I was just thinking that I either need to order one or I need to let the flower lady know to place a bundle of flowers on top of the cake. Ugh... so many things to do!
