Thoughts on this centerpiece PIP

Hey girls! I have been back and forth really figuring out the centerpiece and table decor. I was originally going to fill my vases with mini pinecones and wheat, but that seemed expensive. Anyways, I came up with this idea of the river rocks and I'm thinking I love it! I'll probably just put a few loose medium sized pine cones around it as well.  What do you girls think? Any suggestions?

And here's a close-up of the actual vase:

  • That's really cute!  I think adding the pinecones would be a good touch.  Do you have any more wheat to make it a little fuller?  That's my only suggestion, but I think it still looks good.

  • I agree with the PP about making it look fuller, but could that be done by grouping the wheat closer together? I don't know if that would work, but it's a thought.

  • Awww I really like it. I am thinking about doing something similar but with a pineapply plant. Just simple, yet elegant. Very pretty!

  • I like it, very pretty.  Some of my centerpieces will also have wheat!

  • I love it! I think with the pine cones, it'll be just the right touch. Looks great with your invitations, too.

Where did you get the wheat?

  • I like it but I agree with the others, do you have more wheat?  I would also maybe put some pine cones or rocks on the actual table kinda sprinkled around.

  • Thanks for the input girls! I was thinking I would do more wheat too, but I just grabbed a bit to do a mock up quick. This wheat I used I actually cut down in height earlier on, but I could also add some taller ones to give it dimension/fullness.

Iv2011 - I originally bought some wheat from save on crafts. However, I have found a different website that it is a little cheaper that I will end up buying the bulk that I need from.
