Another RSVP rant

Our RSVP date is October 1, 2012.  I cannot tell you how many people have told me in passing, "Oh you know I'm coming, do I really need to send the card?"  Yes. Yes, you do.  I put a return stamp on the damn envelope and I'd like to be able to use the cards when I'm doing the damn seating chart.

Why is this so friggin hard for peope?  Put the card in the mail! I can't keep track of the word of mouth RSVPs. I have too much other stuff filling my head.

Okay rant over.  Arggggg!

OMG I have this problem too! People are so ghetto! Put the damn card in the mail! It's going to take you 2 minutes!

Yep, I agree!  I've had pretty good turn out so far, but my family is the big missing group!  haha Just because I've helped plan your traveling for the wedding months ago, doesn't mean that I know what you want to eat for the darn night!  Send it to me!  Or else I'm going to give everyone the vegetarian option!  haha  (Which is actually delicious but my Midwest family would have a cow!  )

Right there with you! I was at my mom's last night and she said "oh your cousin said he has 3 wedding invitations in his car but to count him in for two and two prime rib!" - I said, "that's nice but I'm not counting it until I get the card back. I need something I can go back on to keep track and double check everyone's choices." She rolled her eyes at me!! UGH!!! He has it in his car!! Why can't he just drop it in a mailbox as he's driving it by it!!! They're on the side of the road everywhere!

Ugh I really feel your pain. I'm so tired of people just saying "Oh consider this my RSVP" if that is how I wanted things I could have saved a buttonne on postage!

My RSVP deadline is TOMORROW and I haven't gotten responses from 40 people still! Ugh, I guess FI and I will be spending the weekend tracking people down.

Ugh...seriously I hate people.  This whole process is really making me resent my friends and family for being so inconsiderate and lazy.

The only people that seem to understand are those that have planned a wedding or had a child get married in the past 5 years.  Everyone else just doesn't get it.  I sent your an addressed and stamped envelope.  Write your name, choose your meal and send it back by the 24th or else you'll be hearing from me on the 29th.

And don't talk to me about it at work!

My mother is currently taking RSVP from her older cousins over the phone and its pissing me off.  I WANT THE DAMN CARD BACK.

I have a friend who got married last year and a week after she mailed them she was asking me why I haven't mailed my rsvp back.  I told her I just got the invitation yesterday and I'd drop it in the mail this week.  She was on my case every day until she got it in the mail.  Guess who hasn't sent their RSVP back yet?
