October 2012 Weddings

I am a very lucky girl!!

So, about thirty minutes away from where I live there is a kitchenaid factory, and in that same little town there is a kitchenaid outlet store. Welll, apparently every year they have an amazing sidewalk sale and my dad heard about it, and my parents and FI and I all went yesterday.

I bake a lot, and have been drooling over a red kitchenaid mixer since I was probably ten. We registered for one... but decided after much debate that because of the price we'd go ahead go ahead and get it now!! I am soooo excited : D

  • Wahooo! I would love a kitchenaid mixer, but we didn't register for one. I simply don't have enough counter space until we redo our kitchen! Congrats on getting one! :)

with all the cakes I make... it certainly makes it easier...

  • I LOVE my KitchenAid Mixer.  It will be your best friend!  I've had mine for probably 3 years now and love it!

  • I got one at my shower...it's white, I was hoping for red but beggars can't be choosers and as long as it works I don't care what color it is!

Congratulations!! I love to bake and have been wanting one forever too! It was the first item we put on the registry and my Mom actually bought it as my bridal shower present. I'm more in love with it than I ever dreamed!

  • I'm drooling right now!  I have wanted one for so long, I love to bake!  I put one on our registry and, ummm, hinted to my sister....'yea, I put it on my registry but they cost so much, I know I'll never get one".  She said, you never know who would want to purchase something together.  Fingers crossed!!

  • Woo-hoo! That's awesome!  The best part of buying it yourself instead of getting it as a gift?  You don't have to wait until after the wedding to use it!  Someone has already bought the red one off of my registry and I know it will be difficult to wait that long.
  • I am so excited to get mine. My mom bought ours before I even had a chance to get it on the registry. But it has been stealthily wrapped and hidden now for at least 6 months and I want to play with it noooooooooow.

  • You guys all crack me up, lol. I am super excited about it and I cannot wait to play with it!! I am trying to decide what to make right now. I have a ton of lemons at the moment so it will be something lemony for sure!

FI and I had already decided that if we didn't get it for the wedding we would buy it afterwards. So this is even better because I don't have to wait two and a half months!

Tara - I love that we can keep it on the counter! When I lived at home my mom kept hers in the pantry and I was constantly forgetting that we had it! So I love that it gets a place of prominence : )

Cathy - You need to get that thing out and make something!  lol. It's lonely!

haha, my FI gives me crap about it being on the counter.  He says I just want to display it.....well duh!  Plus it's too heavy to pull out of cupboards!  ;)

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE my Kitchen Aid!  My Mom bought me one almost 3 years ago, and I use it ALL THE TIME!  I have the one that looks like stainless steel.  I have the pasta making attachment and I'm registered for the ravioli and shaped pasta attachments at Williams-Sonoma.
