October 2012 Weddings

You're probably sick of these posts . . .

but I promise it's the last one, because my dress is DONE!!

Finally, with the exception of having it cleaned and a couple buttons added to the bustle. I'm also finished paying my seamstress. I just can't tell you how relieved I am. I still have to decide about wearing a veil or not. Def will wear the flower. No clue what I'll do with my now very short hair lol.   :)

  • How can anyone get tired of looking at gorgeous wedding dresses like yours. It is not possible! I could look at wedding dresses all day long.

Your dress is gorgeous, and it fits you perfectly. The skirt looks like it would be so much fun to dance in. As for the veil I recommend it 100% even if you just wear a bird cage veil. I will ALWAYS recommend a bride weir a veil for one reason. How many days of your life do you get to wear a veil, only one your wedding day. (Unless you wore one for your First Holy Communion.)

  • Very pretty! That's so exciting to have it done! I so love that you made the dress into your own!  And I love the flower. I totally agree with Heath tho, and think you would look adorable in a birdcage veil. Especially with your short hair and that dress.
  • It's stunning!

  • Thanks ladies!!

If I wear a veil it will def be a birdcage. We tried to make a birdcage out of my Mom's veil (she had part long veil, part birdcage veil, part hat lol - gotta' love the 80's). The material just doesn't hold though anymore. It is about 30 years old. So if I do decide to wear one, I'll have to buy a new one. David Tutera has one at JoAnn's that isn't expensive. I might try that.

  • Your dressis amazing!  I love it!  Def do a birdcage veil so you can show off the back of the dress more.  They also sell bircage veils at Michaels that are really inexpensive.  If you're crafty, you can make one too.  Michaels sells the material for it and you get way more than you need.
