Wedding registry and Lodging question

How do I let my guests know where we registered?
We don't have a website, (maybe we should)

Word of mouth will work for the local guests, but I don't know how to let the
out of town guests know.

Also, how/when do I inform my guests about lodging options?  Do I send something out separately or just include something with my invitations?

Re: Wedding registry and Lodging question

  • Are you having a shower?  If so, I would assume the invitations to that would list where you are registered.  In addition to that, like you said, if you have a website it's something you can put on there :)

In regards to lodging options, we sent out save the dates and included a printout of the lodging information with those.  I also have that information on our website, AND will be including it again when invitations go out.

Sounds like a website would be very beneficial for you!

    Hope that helps! :)

  • I agree with KD, our hotel options and links to our registries are listed on our website. We sent out our STDs a few weeks ago with the site on them and so many people have commented on the helpfulness of the website. It didn't take me too long to create since I just followed a template from Wedding Wire. Plus we have tabs for local things that our OOT guests may like to know - weather, things to do in the area, etc. LIke 95% of our guests are from OOT so it's proving to be really helpful so far :)

  • I've seen hotel info in an enclosure with the invitation.  I planned to do that, with the information of the hotel we blocked rooms in.

<div>I'm doing this along with listing the information on our website.  I used the website that theknot offers and haven't had any issues as of yet.</div>

  • I am also including the hotel info. in the invitation and the registry info. will  be on the shower invite. I do not have a website either but am probably going to do one.
  • I would do a website. They're free for Knot members, and so helpful. That's what we set up for our registry and lodging information, and the website was on our save-the-dates and we will have an enclosure about it with our invites.
