I purchased the envelopes for our invites. The RSVP ones are self sticking, but the actual invite envelopes are not. I just licked 60 envelopes. .... my toung and mouth feel disgusting.

Anyone else make the same silly mistake?

That sucks. Next time you have to do a bunch of envelopes like that use a damp sponge then you won't have to go through that.

I am avoiding sealing the invites. I did the STDs though and it was awful.

I have heard of the sponge trick, but I've also heard that a lot of sponges have latex in them and I have a deadly allergy, so I decided to veto that.
FI is working late and I just wanted it done. I should have waited for him. At least the stamps were self-stick.

I think you can buy seal stuff to seal a regular envelope CLICKY if you don't want to do the sponge/towel but don't want to lick either.

I ordered mine from a friend and she recommended that I spend the few extra dollars (literally) for the peel and stick. Boy am I glad I did!

I didn't seal mine...I hate ripping envelopes open. I just bought some matching seals from VP with my invites and stuck them on. Its closed and its easier on the guests to open that way. I did use a damp paper towel on the STD's though!
