October 2012 Weddings

what would you do?

ok here's the problem...

i bought a wedding channel deal awhile back in august! on the website for the product it says i will recieve a proof of my product in 2-3 weeks! ok great ,right? well after 3 months i still had nothing! so i emailed them and they said they are processing orders accordding to wedding dates! ok fine thats annoying but still i am fine!  then i get another advertisment for the same wedding channel deal when i still have not even got my first proof 6 months after i ordered it! so i emailed them again about it asking what was up! i dont understand why would they offer this deal again when you havent even been able to fufill the first set of orders yet! it really made me mad but i was still nice as could be to them ! so i waited a few more weeks their answer " we are processing orders according to wedding dates" then i said you know what "just refund my $" i'll take my business elsewhere! "you have exceded our return policy. after  30 days we dont refund your money!" seriously i havent even received my first proof yet at this point! if i had recieved my first proof with their 30 day return policy maybe there wouldnt have been an issue! so after i said i wanted a refund i really quickly got a first draft! which was horrible! so i emailed them again " oh let us no what revisions you want done to the draft so we can fix the problem!"

I WANT MY MONEY BACK that is my problem! arrrrrr they make me so mad! then today i got another email saying they could only refund my shipping fee because work has already been done! they only did the work because i asked for a refund! they probally still havent got to "october brides" yet!i still have been nothing but nice to them... i just want my $ back now!its not even a whole lot of money thats not even the issue . i dont think they should only give me back the $20 i paid for shipping but i should get back the $30 i spent on a poduct they didnt even start working on till i said i didnt want it anymore! its more of the principal of it all now!

i havent emailed the guy back yet! any ideas what i can say to him that might get me all of my $ back? or should i just get the $20 back and write the rest off as a loss?

Re: what would you do?

  • I would call and ask for a supervisor and explain the situation to them.  If they can't or won't rectify it, I would let them know that you will be letting all of your firends know what an aweful company they are.

  • Ha just recommended this for the bride w/ the alterations problem, but if you paid with credit card, call them.
  • I would dispute the charge with your credit card company if you really just want your money back.  Or, maybe give them another shot at getting whatever you ordered done the right way.  It may end up being exactly what you wanted to start with.  Tell them, please fix this and that and if it's not done by such date, that a full refund will need to made.  The 30 day policy should be from the date you got your first proof in my opinion.  That's how it works with every other company that you by something from.  They can't say that it's a 30 day refund from the date that you paid because you never received anything.

  • I agree with PP. I would call the company instead of e-mailing. That way you can speak to someone in charge. And let them know you will be telling many others about ths experience. So sorry you've run into trouble. Hope it gets resolved soon.

  • I agree with calling and talking to someone higher up. Man, what a crappy thing. I hope you get your money back or your product!
