I'm so excited!  I just got the final proof for our save the dates!  I love them!  The designer is on Etsy, so now I just have to buy them!!  I know I'm a little behind the curve with this since our wedding is nearly 6 months out, but I'm so excited to finally announce it in a sense.  Granted most people already know about the wedding, it is still exciting!

I'm with you on being behind the curve.  I haven't even ordered the STD's yet and while everyone who is coming already even knows most of the details I'd like to get the official notification done.

I just wish my excuse was procrastination and not money! Oh well...

PS Oh my gosh I just love how creative the artists at Etsy are.  I bet your STD's are gorgeous!

I love mine!  It's so neat now that our names are the ones listed.  It makes it feel real!  I'm so excited to work with her for our invites too.  If you are looking for a good one on Etsy, I would recommend her.  InvitingMoments  I like the fact that we are supporting a small business and that they are more original.  Plus I was concerned about $ too; all of her invites only cost 1 stamp to send and I'm using postcards for STDs and RSVP to save on postage too.

Good luck with yours!  It sounds like there are some pretty good ways to save on invites though.  I've seen around the boards that there is a 50% off sale on Vistaprint today, and there is a LivingSocial deal right now, so you could probably snag a good deal and get some simple STDs and feel good about it!
