Ok, I just need to see if this was totaly rude or not, but one of my good friends said she can't come to my wedding because she booked a flight to Europe.   This was a girl who asked me to be a bridesmaid for HER wedding so we are pretty close.  I had of course told her what day my wedding was, and she should have at least known the month, but failed to call and double check the day (I haven't technically send out invitations yet).  I totally expected her to be there, but maybe I'm being crazy about it.  She asked me the day and time after she already booked her flight, I tell her 6 o'clock.....then she asks if it's 6 AM or PM.  WHAT?  who has a wedding at 6 AM!?  Then she says she feels bad about it and wants to hang out during the day before the wedding.  Again... WHAT!??  Um, I will be sort of busy on my wedding day.... can't really just "hang out" because you failed to find out what day my wedding was that you supposedly wanted to attend.  I'm just so upset about this, but perhaps I'm making this bigger than it is?  TIA

You're not making a big deal out of this.  Unfortunately, I have come to realize that people you think would be there for you and your big day and be super happy and excited most ofter are not.  I'm realizing a lot of people I thought were my bff are just merely friends.  That said don't let this get to you.  This is one of the happiest moments of your life and if someone doesnt want to share in that joy it's their loss.  Be happy realize that you weren't as close as you thought and move on.  Don't let anything dampen your joy!

agree with everything OFF said.  they always say a wedding really brings out people's true colors, and not meaning the bride and groom.  you never realize how true it is until you start getting down to it.  FI and i have both dealt with this, and it only brings us closer together and more in love (which is crazy because i wouldn't think we could get any closer, right!?).  you're not crazy at all for feeling the way you do, but as the day approaches you'll realize more and more starts rolling off your back because after all it's all about you and your FI and no one can ruin the happiness of you two marrying each other!

I agree with both of the ladies above.... with her on her trip it leaves room for you to choose someone else who you can actually depend on to be there to tell you not to cry and to make sure you have your flowers... hope it turs out greater thatn you expect...
