Brides Against Breast Cancer

Hello, I recently learned about Brides Against Breast Cancer (www.bridesagainstbreastcancer.org) and it seems like a great way to find/or donate a dress.  The proceeds from the sale go to a charity for patients with terminal breast cancer.  Since BABC is holding a dress sale this weekend in Arlington, I decided to check it out.  It was a good experience.  There were a ton of dresses.  I tried on some dreses (couture and non), thought the prices were reasonable and plan to keep an eye out for upcoming sales.  Anyway, I thought I would share in case anyone could use this information.  Also, I really enjoyed how friendly and non-pushy everyone was at the event.

Hi, I purchased my dress from a BABC retailer called Imperial Gowns in VA. It was great because they had a lot of inventory I could look thru and their seamstress is fabulous! It was a one-stop shop. Great family-run business.

I read about Brides Against Breast Cancer right before it happened, and I got lucky - I found a dress and hair clip for under $600.

Oh, and the staff was helpful and I was amazed at how easy it was to move around - it wasn't crowded at all, which was a huge plus for me.
