Dinner Music

Hey ladies- Just wondering what you are having played during your dinner. My DJ gave me a list of popular songs to play during music but they aren't really what I think of when having dinner. I thought maybe jazz and soft music during dinner then obviously faster music after--- but its NYE so i want the beat to be fun and upbeat--- so then again, what would you have? can you have fast paced music throughout dinner also??SUggestions? ! THANK YOU!

We had jazz playing during our dinner set.

We're doing all acoustic singer/songwriter music....it's easy enough and I think everyone will enjoy hearing new artists.

If I were having a DJ, I would chose instrumental jazz. Instead, we've hired a jazz quartet to play "up-tempo" jazz during our reception at nearly the same cost of a DJ.

Like PP, I'd stick with jazz.  At my sister's wedding, one of the songs the dj played during dinner was "Let's get it on".  Memorable but totally inappropriate!

They have a bunch of instrumentals of popular songs - Bubbly by Colbie Calliet comes to mind. That might be good for you.

Our dj played mostly upbeat, swingy, Sinatra-type stuff.  I loved it because it was chill enough for dinner but not "sleepy".
