I am planning to DIY invitations, but want to look into printing options. Has anyone used a local vendor to print invitations? Any recs? TIA Erin

I designed my own invites and had them printed at Stanley Adams in Courthouse area, Arlington. I think it was pretty reasonable, but not many places in the area do the thermography printing, so I can't be too sure. They also have lots of books of invitations to look through that you can order, as I'm sure many similar stationary type stores do as well. They are located at 2047 wilson blvd in arlington, phone 703-524-6600

We used Cards and Pockets.  We designed the invitations and enclosures, and uploaded the files to them for printing.  They sent us the pocketfolds, invitations, mats, and enclosures, which we then assembled.  They were very conscientious, and did a great job.

I know you're looking for a vendor to print, but I have to say that we ordered invites from Cards and Pockets, and I printed everything myself on my home printer (regular HP inkjet), and many of the guests have commented on how nice the invites are, and are shocked when I tell them that I did it myself. Just FYI. :) Samantha

I got mine printed from Sir Speedy in DC on 17th and L Streets, NW and also looked at Kinkos, Agile Printing and PostNet. He did a great job and wasn't too bad as far as the prices. but I don't recommend him for due to all of the issues we had during the whole process (he printed some things wrong and had to re-do a lot of his work). As weird as it may sound, I hear Kinkos does a good job. I recommend bringing in a test sample for them to print.
