Knottie Help Needed - Bach Party Ideas

So long story short my MoH has not planned anything for my B-Party yet and it's a week from Saturday. She has been busy between work and school but all the bridesmaids (5) and myself thought the planning was under control. We have all expressed interest in helping her but she refused. So now we are down to the wire and there is nothing yet. What did you for you B-party in the DC area? We are a laid-back group and I would rather spend time anywhere else other than a place like MCCXXI.TIA!

Well I'm not sure exactly what you want to do but what my sister did, as they didn't want to go get sloshed at a bar, for hers was:Go out to nice dinnerRent a hotel room (wine, beer, champagne...whatever)Had a psychic come! And then had palm readings and girly moments all night. She lives in Upstate New York and I was 15 weeks pregnant at the time so not able to make it, but they had a really good time and it's not your ordinary bachelorette party!

The "bachelorette partty" for one of my best friends consisted of us all going to a nice dinner, then catching a show at the DC Improv. Many lovely cocktails were consumed, LOL. We had a blast! Then we all had a sleepover party at one of the other bridesmaids' house.

I was just at  a bachie party this weekend.  We got a hotel down town, started off witha drink at the hotel bar, then we went to current for dinner (you could go anywehre in DC) and then went out to a few bars that had decks or open roof tops.  It was alot of fun :)

well you'd have to like wine :)  I think we're going to get a car and driver and head out to a couple of the wineries around Leesburg for the day, then come home and have indian take out and girl time.  Probably start the morning off with mimosas too.

We're going to go bowling at lucky strike- you can get group rates that include the bowling, food and drinks for about $50 a person which isn't bad for this area.  I've also heard of people going karoaking at a bar in Annandale that has private rooms (with their own karoake machines).

I went to one where we took the Boomerang Bus to 2 different wineries in VA. It was really fun, but not your typical bachelorette party. Good luck!

My ladies are talking about the winery trip for mine.  I hosted one a few years ago that was low key - nice dinner and 1 bar that had a little dance floor.  What was fun was that we all dressed in old bridesmaid dresses.    We got lots of a comments about our dresses and everyone had a great time!Have fun!

Because I am more laid back too and didn't want to impose on my friends to pay a lot of money, one of my bm's hosted a potluck at her place.  It was delicious!  They had a theme of my fave types of foods (Greek, Asian, Italian, and Mexican) and everyone brought home made yummy stuff.  We had drinks there, got me all decked out with my bachelorette accessories, etc.  It was nice and relaxing and not as loud as some busy restaurant.  Plus with 14 of us we could actually talk to each other and not be at some long table.  Then we went to a bar by U Street, Marvin, but I think any bar would work.  We didn't want to pay cover so consider that.

We're doing a slumber party @ one of the girls houses.  We're going to have food, do mani/pedi's and maybe a messusse (sp?) come do massages!  She also has a hot tub in her backyard.  We may also go line dancing.
