Hotel help?

Hi there,I'm a bride-to-be from Australia, who will be spending some of her honeymoon in Washington DC. We're having trouble deciding on a hotel in the city, either in Georgetown or closer to the main attractions. We're looking at spending up to $150 per night. Can anyone help me with suggestions? We're finding places we like but then the reviews on TripAdvisor aren't that great. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks,Meg

When are you coming into DC?  Hotels in Georgetown can be very expensive and are not right by a metro - though it is a lovely area, I would recommend Woodley Park, Dupont, or downtown.  Some hotels to consider : Omni Shoreham, Marriot at Metro Center, Marriot Wardman Park, Doubletree at 15th and MassI would try and stay at a Hotel that is walkable to the metro and night-life, my mom often comes down and uses priceline.com.

Kimpton hotels are pretty popular around here and in your price range. They are cute boutique smaller more modern hotels, and there are several to choose from. Also, try travelocity or expedia they both have guest reviews on the hotels. I second pp in their recs of either Kimpton hotel or the Marriott at Metro Center (and not just because I'm having my reception there!)    The last thing you want to do is drive around DC looking for parking - those hotels are walking distance to everything and near metro stops. GL!
