Do you tip your hair dresser and makeup artist? They're not working through a salon (but through a hair/makeup artist comp.). They're coming to me and my BMs day of and I'm paying a travel fee for them. What's typical for this? Is a smaller, non-monetary tip an approp. option? Thanks for your help on this!

I would assume you'd tip them the same as if you went to a salon.  Since they don't own the company, they fall into that category.  Maybe you could consider giving them something like a bottle of wine instead as a thank you though.  You could probably save a few bucks that way.

OFF

They are still working for someone else, so you would tip them. They are not getting most of the most of the money and travel fees are typical.
