Best place to buy alcohol?

We are bringing our own alcohol to the venue (we had the option, and this was MUCH cheaper, yet will be a pain in the butt). Where is the best place to buy beer, wine and liquor? I'm thinking beer from Costco, wine from Wegmans or Total Wine...no idea on liquor. FI's brother is in the military, so he mentioned we could also look on base...I guess b/c it's tax free (or something)?Thanks for any advice :)

    I don't know anything about the military aspect. However, only the Costco in Newark, DE sells liquor. The other ones sell beer and wine. Depending on where you live and how much liquor you need, it may be worth the drive up to DE. It is tax free there too!

    Yeah, depending on where you live, I have heard good things about 2 spots 1) Pauls in Chevy Chase DC 2) Corridor Wine in Laurel MD Both let you return un-open bottles

    It's definitely going to be cheaper on base. It's a discounted price and it's tax free.

    I've also heard great things about Calvert Woodley in DC. All my wine snob friends rave about their selection and prices.
