Vendor Review. Wedding 9/6/09

My wedding was in Gaithersburg, MD on September 6, 2009.  I couldn't have asked for a better day!Hair & Make up: Carla Pressley.  She works at PR Parters in Tysons Corner but travels to your house the day of the wedding.  Carla brought an assistant and did my hair and make up, my mom's hair and make up, and all of my bridesmaids hair.  Everyone looked stunning.  Carla did my hair for a wedding I was in last year and loved it as well.  She is pretty reasonably priced too.  I definitely recommend her to all brides.  pressleycarla@gmail.comPhotographer: Yakov Gindin.  We recently got our pictures from Yakov and were throughly impressed with how good they are.  He was an excellent photographer and very easy to work with.  He made people laugh while taking pictures and really made it an enjoyable experience.  He has many, many years of experiece in the business and has been one of the photographers for the inaugeration the past several times.  Yakov cares about what the bride and groom want and genuinely loves what he does.  He did everything just as we asked of him.  We are so glad that we went with Yakov and now have fabulous pictures to treasure for the rest of our lives!  I definitely recommend Yakov to all brides as well.yakovphotography@comcast.nethttp://www.ygphotography.com/DJ: Good Vibrations.  Overall, we were pleased with the DJ himself, not so pleased with the people in charge of Good Vibratios.  We requested a specific DJ, were told he would be there and when we got to the reception there was another DJ there with no explanation.  He played some of our "must play" songs during dinner instead of their dinner mix as we had requested.  Also, he messed up some of the names when announcing the bridal party and did not play the music during the whole introductions as we requested.  I guess you get what you pay for.  They are by far the best price around.  All that said, we had a fabulous reception and a packed dance floor all night.  Only the bride would know the minor details that did not happen and it did not put a damper on the  reception.  music@goodvibrations.orghttp://www.goodvibrations.org/public/main/main_frame.htmlReception Site: Golden Bull Grand Cafe.  The Golden Bull did everything that we asked and we were very pleased with our reception.  We had tons of compliments about how good the food was.  We chose the buffet option.  We had TONS of complaints from our guests about the female bartender who was nasty to our guests.  We informed management that she was rude to our guests and we did not appreciate her attitude.  They closed the bar 15 minutes early without any notice and would not let us extend our time towards the end of the night.  It was a great party, and a night to remember.  I would definitely recommend the Golden Bull to all brides, but please ask for another bartender!!!!www.golden-bull.com
