Design help with paper lanterns?

We're having a tent reception and I want to decorate with big pink and orange paper lanterns.  Does anyone have any hints about how many would look good in a 40x100 space or how to position them? Thanks!

A couple of things to remember.  First, the bigger your lanterns are, the more light you will need inside them if you want the glow to be visible.  I was able to get a good glow in 10" lanterns with 6 LED lights.  However, for the 18" lanterns, I had to go to Westinghouse Stick-Up Bulbs (which only last about 5-6 hours).  Anything larger than 18", you would probably need a place to plug things in, so you'd have to consider whether that would be practical in a tent.  If you decided just to hang them without lighting them, they might be hard to see in a large tent.Second, what people normally hang them from is monofilament line stretched between the tent poles.  However, monofilament line is quite stretchy.  Thus, you would need to have a ladder to hang the lines quite high up, in order not to have them hitting people's heads once the lanterns are weighing them down. That being said, we had 127 lanterns in a 120' x 50' space.  Here is a picture of how they looked:
