Location on Save-the-dates?

Hi - This may be a silly question but I am looking for honest input. Our ceremony will be in Bethesda, reception in Rockville. On our save the dates I think it would be fun to put Washington, DC to get OOT guests excited about visiting DC but I don't want to be a faker haha. So then what do I put? Bethesda, Rockville or DC?!It's  semantics but your opinions help :)

    I don't think there's anything wrong with putting DC on your save the dates...it's a general area that people will need to look for airfare to and a good demographic location. Make sure though that you somehow alert people of how to locate a hotel so they aren't staying in the middle of the city!!

    We thought about putting Washington, DC on our STDs but ended up putting the city where the wedding is located Purcellville. Mostly, because a lot of our people are local and know the difference between DC and VA wine country. I honestly don't think it's that big of deal. And you're right I would be much more excited about Washington, DC vs Rockville :) I think you can get away with ith however, like the previous poster said give them an idea of where to book hotels.

    I put the actual city on it, Arlington, but I also put the wedding website I created on the knot on there so OOT guests could go online and book their rooms and see the website since I took the time to create it.  On the website it's got all the DC Information for OOT guests.  Plus his relatives I've never met will probably enjoy figuring out who this girl is that he's marrying:)  You could put something like "

    Our save the dates was a picture of us at the lincoln memorial- and our ceremony is in alexandria va. most of our guests are coming in from across the country and havent seen DC so I thought since alex. is close to DC and since we do live in the NOVA area- why not put DC on your save the dates? Everyone loved them ib/c they realized that alexandria was super close to dc- and in our OOT bags we put fun things to do in alex. AND DC. its close by and most out of towners, that get OOT bags, dont know anything about the city- id say why not? i didnt think twice about it. i think its cute! its close by...why not? go for it girl. best of luck by the way=- love the pic of you and your mOH halarious haha
