Cost of wedding bands (music) in DC

Hi--

I am trying to find out about how much 7-piece bands in the DMV area charge, and what is "normal" or average. In terms of band size. I know the prices fluctuate, but I see $10k and $2k for the same amount of people in the band, and I wanted to get some opinions.

We used a NY band-- 747 Orchestra and they play in DC.  They were OUTSTANDING and so easy to work with and  OMG their music.... NOBODY sat down all evening.   747orchestra.com   747 was our favorite vendor.

My experience with bands is you get what you pay for.  Good bands are closer to $10K.  You'd be better off going wth a DJ over a band for $2K.
