Reviews of the restuarant on Yelp are terrible, but the few reviews as a wedding reception venue are great. Has anyone had a wedding experience with this location? Was it positive?

Love sequioa - depending on your size and time of year it can be expensive if you need to rent our the whole space.  The food was great!

Seriously, the reviews on yelp are not always accurate--sometimes people with grudges make up and grossly exaggerate an experience. 

Better to ask for referrals from the restaurant and even ask some of the employees (discreetly, of course).  Wedding and event planners also can provide recommendations.
Hope this helps out some.

</div><div>Me and my FI went to the wedding of our close friends there this past October, and everything was as perfect as 'perfect' can be! The food was awesome (entree was filet mignon and crab cake duet plate), drinks were fantastic, staff was incredibly professional, and they turned over the room without us even noticing during cocktail hour upstairs. If it's in your budget and you love it, go for it! </div>
