New to DC board

Hi I'm Tracy. I spend most of my time on the May 2012 board but feel I should come here more often to get local tips as I am getting married in Rockville.
Fi proposed back in march in ocean city on a long weekend getaway. It had bern a blast so far being engaged now just trying to get into more of the details of planing.

The siggy pic was my venue.  We are getting married at the Agricultural history farm in Derwood, MD. It's a really nice venue, plus being a county park (or whatever it is) I can use any vendors I want.

Checks so far - Venue, monogram, STDs(almost)

Soon to be checks - photographer (friend of FI), Caterers this weekend.

Colors - green and brown - going with an earthy tones.

Hoping to go dress shopping some time in June.

@lisa50 I will share my shoe details when I get them.  That part should be a lot of fun:)

Oooo I hadn't heard of that place before and I grew up pretty close to Derwood, I'll have to start recommending that to some of my other friends who are looking for venues, it's gorgeous!

We are excited about the venue. The pictures look better than it does not with out decorations. Just means I have to part attention to a lot of details. Where is your wedding at lovemuffins?

LoveMuffin recommended I come here and check things out and what do you know, Tracy and I are getting married at the same venue!! Looks like you'll be there just before me.

Tracy,  I'd love to here what you've found for caterers and how you're dealing with the site...  Are you having it in the barn? Using a tent? Also, I don't know if you've seen their site, but thebittenword.com blog authors got married at the barn and I've emailed them. They are really extremely helpful regarding advice for getting married at the Ag Park.

I'm completely overwhelmed at the moment trying to decide how to feed my guests!

My checks so far: a dress (yay!), a date, a venue, invites & STDs, and a so far totally willing groom
