Our wedding and weekend were amazing. We started festivities Friday night with family dinner for both DH and my parents, siblings. Everyone got along great and it was a nice way to get excited.
Rehearsal dinner on Saturday was at Buca Di Beppo, it was family style Italian and super fun/casual. 50 of our friends/family members came and all had a good time.
Sunday - getting ready started at 10am - everyone kept telling me how calm I was. I really think it's part because I had day-of-coordinators - Graceful Weddings and didn't have to worry about any last minute details. The girls and I all got ready at the hotel and throughout the day close family and friends stopped by, which was really fun.
The wedding was beautiful, special, and perfect. Both our ceremony and reception were at the Carnegie Instution for Science. The event was seamleass and all of our friends/family kept telling me how it was the best wedding ever. I have to say after two years of planning - I was so caught up in my excitement to get married to DH, that the details didn't matter as much as I expected them too. Still the flowers and decor were beautiful in the space, and our diy projects/candy buffet was a big hit. Our harpist - Melissa Tardiff Dvorak added to the beautiful ceremony and our DJ - David Orlando - kept the dance floor packed.
I would do it again in a heart beat, but for now I am ready to enjoy being a MRS. We leave for our mini-moon on Thursday.
