Hi Everyone!

I live downtown in chinatown.  I wanted to see if anyone had recs for a place to get my nails (and my mothers) on a thursday prior to a saturday wedding.  I am just very scared that I'm going to chip them (my manicures never seem to last).  I have to get it done on thursday b/c I'm getting traditional henna done later thursday evening (i'm a south asian bride).

I would appreciate any help!

Thanks,

Go to Golden Nails down at 7th and D - make an appointment with Thu (two)!

I work right near there and go to her all the time and it's great! Just throw some top coat on Saturday morning and you should be good to go - my manicures usually last at least 4+ days. Also going with a light pink or more neutral color will help mask any chips - steer clear of french manicures or darker colors.

I agree with the recommendation for a clear top coat to make your manicure last.  I noticed you mentioned you were a South Asian bride, me too! Do you happen to have a recommendation for where I can get a Sari Blouse stiched in this area for a reasonable price?

I go to PR @ Partners on G Street (between 11th and 12th) and my manis last 2 weeks without chipping!  She's awesome and I agree with pp - add a good clear top coat and you'll be fine.
