Eighth Anniversary 5000 Comments 500 Love Its Name Dropper
Hi all! I got engaged yesterday and will be in DC (Sterling, VA) this weekend visiting my sister. I'd love to try on some dresses w/ her and my mom. Does anyone have any suggestions on a salon? I'd like to go to a franchise in case I find 'the dress' and have to buy it when I get back to Phoenix. The closer to Sterling/Fairfax, the better.

Thanks in advance!

The only franchise I can think of is David's Bridal. Most shops are independently owned in the DC area. I would suggest just going to try on some dresses with your family to see what you like. If you find a dress you really like, get the designer and style #. You can look the style# up on the designer's website and find a local retailer. No matter what, definitely purchase the dress in the area that you live. You will have multiple fittings and I'm pretty sure you don't want to fly across country 2-3 times for them!

    Hello there,

I think you can go to Priscilla of Boston (they are a franchise and I think a division of David's Bridal as well)  Wouldn't recommend Davids though, they are not known for their customer service.

Beware of getting style #'s from the salons, because every salon has their own numbering system that may or may not match up exactly to the designers website..
    Best wishes.
