Venue: The Radnor Hotel - B. The rating here is a little misleading and I will explain why. The day-of staff members are absolutely amazing. Our wedding day went perfectly, the food and drinks were great, and the service was unbelievable. I received tons of compliments on how great the service was during the course of the day and night. The outdoor garden made a beautiful spot for our ceremony and cocktail hour and the ballroom also looked great all done up. The reason this is not an A+ rating is because of the wedding coordinator. The Radnor went through 3 in the time from when we booked to when we had our wedding and this last one is terrible. She is unhelpful, painfully shy, and takes forever to respond to emails. If you are interested in The Radnor Hotel though, I wouldn't let her turn you off - I can't imagine she will have that job for very long.
DJ: Silver Sound, Steve Croce - A-. We had a smaller-sized wedding and I was a little worried that the dance floor would be sparse or empty for a lot of the night. That ended up not being the case at all! Steve kept the dance floor packed all night. While playing diner music, he walked around to every table to introduce himself and ask what people would like to hear. I know that sounds strange, but my guests really appreciated it and I think that went a long way to making sure everyone had a good time and danced the night away.
Flower: Passion for Petals, Pamela Hale - A-. From the first meeting with Pam, I knew I wanted her as my florist. She is organized, incredibly easy to work with, and has flawless taste. My flowers were gorgeous and stayed gorgeous throughout the hot and humid day. The centerpieces and various table decorations were exactly what I had envisioned. I couldn't have been happier!
Photographer: Chris Hensel - Reserving rating until I see my photos. However, Chris was great to work with. He is always available to answer questions, has an upbeat personality, and came up with a fantastic photo location close to our venue. He was a great person to have around on my wedding day.
Dress: The Wedding Shoppe - A. I went to a number of bridal stores and The Wedding Shoppe was by far the best. They were very professional, made great suggestions, and worked very well within my budget. They have a few seamstresses that work with the shop. I used Karen and she was a miracle worker! She took a sample dress that was 4 sizes too big and made it fit me like a glove without sacrificing the integrity of the dress and style.
Cake: Bredenbecks - A. Delicious and beautiful! There's really nothing more to it. Highly recommend!
Rings: Barbara B's Jewels - A+. By far my favorite "vendor"! Barbara helped my H and I find rings we both loved and had prices far below similar rings at other places. Her shop is the only place I will buy jewelry from now on. She is much more concerned with getting you what you want than in selling you something at the top of your price range. I adore Barbara!
Hair: Hair by Meghan - B+. Meghan came to my hotel room to do hair for me, my 6 bridesmaids, and my mom. She is amazingly quick and her styles look great. My curls stayed in place all night, but some of my girls' curls fell out pretty early in the reception. It was a hot and humid day, but I wish Meghan would have used more hairspray or suggested doing things that would hold longer.
Makeup: Dylan Michael Cosmetics, Casey - A. Casey was great to have around on my wedding day. She is fun and talkative and helped keep everyone chilled out and on time all morning. My airbrush makeup was flawless, looked great, and stayed on until I scrubbed my face at night. I did a lot of sweating while dancing around and it still held perfectly.
