Where did you get your invites? Local shops?

Where did you all get your invites from?

I looked into DIY - and there is just no way.  I don't have that kind of patience or actual creative ability :)

I am looking for a local shop where I can go in and actually look at the paper and the designs in person.  I've look at alot of invites online, but I'm not sure how I feel about that.  Did any of you order online?  Was it a good experience or do you have horror stories?

Thank so much!

I ordered mine from weddingpaperdivas.com and I was really happy with the results.  They have several styles and you can order samples to see how the invitations will look and feel.

I went online as well to evenstarpaperie.com.  I think I would have spent 3 to 4 times as much if I went with a shop for our very luxurious-looking invites.

We are ordering ours through Costco, they have a partner and their invitations are 25% off the retail price.  They have a lot to choose from and the site is really easy to navigate; to choose colors, fonts, etc.  I heard you don't even need to be a Costco member to order from it.  We ordered four samples and they came quickly, they've also gotten great reviews online.

Here's a link to the site but it's called evite.com.

i used hawthorne house in occoquan, va.  i too was having a tough time with looking at things online and not being able to tell if i liked them.  a lot of sites send you free samples but i just didn't have patience to sift through websites and liked having someone sitting right there with me so i could tell them what i wanted.

I got mine from mygatsby.com and decided on the pocket invitation.  I ordered the sample and it came in a couple days and they send you all of the color and paper samples too.  I think it was reasonably priced and once I placed the actual invitation order the came in 2 weeks!

I used an etsy seller: JessicasDesignShop  She's great. She can do assembled or non assembled work.  She also does menus, programs, table numbers etc.

I am using invitations from Michael's craft store. It is a box of 30 invites, response cards, and envelopes for only $40. PLUS Michael's has weekly 40-60% off coupons so I'm getting the invites for a really, really good price! They are part of Michael's BRIDES collection. Also, I'm getting my save the date cards from a seller on esty.com. You can pretty much have your invites custom made if you use etsy! My save the date cards match my theme perfectly!! And, they're only $1.50 each.

I second going through the Costco website to evites or whatever it's called.  Not such a huge selection, but if you like any of them, you can get a sample in a few days, and get your customized invitations delivered in a week flat for a fraction of the cost elsewhere.  They ROCK.
