Anyone else doing a candy buffet?  I am wondering where the best deals are to buy candy?  I am going to the beach this weekend with Fi and his family, so we are going to check out the BJ's there.  But I am wondering if there are better places to look.

Thanks!

depends on what kind of candy you are doing.  If you are doing color themed candy- there are websites such as candywarehouse.com or candyfavorites.com.

I am doing mostly chocolate/dark and milk and white candys so I am going to find mine at local stores.

Costco is good if you don't need candy by color.   We are going to by hershey kisses and peppermint patties there.    I am going to go to Wegmans to get some bulk M&M's and Jelly Belly's in the colors i need (you can also order those online, but prices are about the same).

We are also doing Lindt balls, we can get them in black wrappers and blue (my acccent color).  There are Lindt candy stores at some malls, and i believe there is one in Arundel Mills?  not sure though.  My friend is a Lindt General Mgr, so she is hooking me up.

But if you want one stop shopping-  one of the websites is probably easiest, just make sure if you get chocolate that they ship it properly so it doesn't melt.

We are doing candy jars and when we priced M&Ms it was almost $400.00 for 20 pounds! Ended up going to jellybelly.com to get jelly beans in our colours. ($140 for 20 pounds) Also check out www.candywarehouse.com for other kinds of candy. They have a great selection.
