I generally ask my sister - but she is hosting my bridal shower - along with Fi's sister, my mom and FMIL. 

What are you giving as a hostess gift?

    I may do a gift card to their favorite store or restaurant.  In my case my MOH is doing most of it by my BM's are pitching in as well, I think I may give my MOH something a little "larger" than the others, and then give each of the others something smaller.  One cute idea I had was to do a drink theme and get each of my girls the ingredients for their favorite drink and then a personalized glass to go with it, so while one loves cosmos she would get a martini glass, another loves rum and coke, she would get a rocks glass. etc.  One is pregnant so she'll get this book called "Margarita Mama: Mocktails for the Mom to be" and a cute glass as well

    My mom is hosting one shower (this weekend!) and I kind of went all out and got her a gift certificate to Red Door Spa.

    My FI's stepmom and aunt are hosting me another shower in June, I was thinking some kind of bath stuff ("to make your shower as nice as mine was.")  I read this on one of the other boards and thought it was super-cheesy, but they might like that....

    Haha, you shut up! That was my idea and you read it right here :-)  (not that I originally thought of it)

    And it's totally cheesy, but my SIL is throwing my shower and she gives me that stuff ALL the time, so I figure she probably likes it. :-)

    I am so glad I decided to forgo the whole shower thing....One less thing to buy a dress for, gifts, etc.!
