BM Dresses?

Hello! I am planning to have my wedding in NJ. However, I currently live in the DC area specifically Arlington. The majority of the BM live in this area as well. I wanted to see what stores others have used for dresses. I would like the dresses to be less than $200 total. Any suggestions both good and bad (so I can avoid) would be appreciated!

Try Priscilla of Boston in Tysons Corner.  Most of the dresses are under $200.  I found ones I like for $150 and $180.  They have a ton of different styles and colors.

I ordered my dresses from a bridal store in New York.  They are a registered distributor, but they offer a no frills program.  I was able to save my BMs $60 from what stores here were charging.  They offer different designers.  You'll just need the measurements/sizes of each BM.

We went to Hennalore's in Old Town Alexandria.  It was great!  We made a whole day out of it...lunch, shopping, and BM dress shopping.  They have a huge selection with all different price points.

I also picked out my BM dresses at Hannelore's, even though not a single one of my BMs lives in this area. The girls order their dresses from Hannelore's and the shop sends it to them when they arrive. They have a terrific selection and I was able to get a dress that was exactly what I had pictured for $168 (plus shipping). Ashlynn is the BM dept. manager, and is very sweet and fun to work with.

I'm having just a maid of honor. She lives in Philly and we didn't have time to get together to shop for bridesmaid dresses. I found a bunch on J.Crew's Web site that I liked. I asked her to pick the one she liked and felt she would look the best in. She ordered it online and it was delivered directly to her. Easy!

I second Priscilla of Boston - my girls are wearing vineyard/priscilla dresses that are $188.  If you look on the website you can search for styles under $200.  The store in Tysons has a decent selection of the current styles.  But I would call ahead to make appointments, they tend to fill up on the weekends.

All my bridesmaids' dresses came from David's. I picked a color (lapis, a dark purple) and a length (knee-length, for all the girls except my MOH) and each woman was able to choose the dress she looked the best in.

They all loved the flexibility, the dresses looked fantastic together and nothing cost more than $120.

Locally, the Springfield store is better than the Rockville store, but they are available anywhere... one of my bridesmaids bought her shoes from the David's in Anchorage Alaska. :)

I had good luck at Distinctive Designs Bridal http://www.ddbridal.com. there is discount when you order 3 or more. the dresses we ordered ended up being $168 each including tax and shipping.
