I know it was extremely helpful for me to go through the boards to see what other people had to say before selecting my own vendors. I'm only a wee bit into the planning process now, but I think we're making excellent progress.
My first recommendation is for the Crystal City Marriott in Arlington. Our sales POC, Richelle, was great to work with. She customized packages for our reception (we're doing cocktail hour, seated dinner, open bar) as well as the hotel rooms. They were willing to work with us to get the price to what we were comfortable with and really provide prices at every range. VERY affordable for the location! Our event coordinator, Vivian has been extremely responsive to my questions and has given us additional deals for family traveling in early. The hotel is gorgeous! Recently renovated. Really stunning.
My second rec is for my photographer, Cassidy DuHon. We just booked him the other day, but I'm so excited he's working with us. His photos are stunning, and he's got a super cool, friendly attitude.
