Modern Restaurant

I'm looking for a chic modern restaurant that is very "DC" to hold our reception for aboout 50 people.  We would love something with a view, if possible, but that's not absolutely necessary.  All guests would be from OOT so we would really like to show them a bit of DC.

    Is there a restaurant with a view at the top of the W Hotel?

    Top of the Town, in Arilington has a sweeping view of DC, with the Lincoln and Washington monuments, and Capitol all nicely lined up. The Willard had a nice restaurant as well.  Also the Hay Adams.

    You could also do a dinner cruise on the Odyssey, where your guests get the landmarks, some information on them, and a nice dinner.

    I love the Sequoyah (sp?). GORGEOUS view of the Potomac and the Kennedy Center.

    POV at the W in DC is a club/lounge place - they have food as well. I called abotu doing an engagement party there. They have amazing views, but to rent out on a Saturday evening is $50,000. They do however offer Sunday's for a more reasonable price. They also have the terrace too.

    Another great place to look - the Ronald Reagan Building. They have a room at the top in the dome-shaped part of the building with views of Penn. Ave. definitely call there too

    I am also looking for a modern restaurant to hold a reception - closer to the Rockville area though, any thoughts?
