Small Band for DC Wedding

My fiance and I would love to have a live band at our reception, but have space (and budget) constraints. I would love and really appreciate any suggestions/guidance about good bands that don't take up too much space (we want a dance floor!) and are budget friendly. Ha - I don't even know if this combination exists!!

    We got proposals from anywhere from $4,500 to well over $20,000.  I can forward you what we have-- send me a message with your email.
    We ended up going with a band out of Nashville, TN-- "The Tyrone Smith Revue" but there are plenty of awesome bands in this area to chose from.

    try craigslist and look for student jazz/other bands they are inexpensive from what I hear because they are students who really need the money and you think of all the colleges around here and their individual colleges of music I've heard this is a good way to find a small band.

    check out washington talent http://www.washingtontalent.com/ they have tons to choose from.
