Outdoor wedding site Metro DC area

Does anyone know of a reasonably priced outdoor venue that's not already on the knot. I'm looking to have both the ceremony and reception outside. I'd prefer it to be in Virginia, but would be ok with Maryland or DC.

If you are having both the ceremony and the reception outdoors, you will need some kind of backup plan in case of rain.  You might want to check out the Northern Virginia Parks, so that you could at least have a picnic shelter you could use in case of rain.

We're using Oxon Hill Manor and hoping to do everything outside.  The nice thing about Oxon Hill (besides the price) is that if it rains, it can accomodate a large group inside as well.

    There are lots of places...
    Sunset Crest Manor in Chantilly
    Airlie in Warrenton
    Oatlands in Leesburg
    Hilton Garden Inn in Fairfax

I'm having my ceremony and reception at Woodend Sanctuary in Chevy Chase, MD. It's part of the Audubon Naturalist Society. Gorgeous grounds just outside of DC. Good luck with your search.

Oatlands gets more expensive than most places I've research in NOVA/MD once you start including catering options. They have no amenities for caterers, so you need to rent not only the tent for your reception but also the caterer tent. Some caterers evne charge garbage disposal and dish clear away since there isn't even a sink on the site.

The coordinator at Oatlands is extremely short in emails and overly testy about the specifics of the caterers- be careful, the website lists vendors as SUGGESTED, but the minute you want to consider anyone else they will say the vendors are required.

Your best bet is to find a venue that either doesn't require a tent, or includes tent rental within the venue fee. Better yet, one that has kitchen facilities onsite.
