Bridal Shop Suggestions

I am a Delaware bride looking for suggestions for bridal shops in the DC area.  My mother lives in Alexandria so I'm thinking of doing some shopping in that area.  I originally wanted to go to Kleinfelds in NYC, but I don't want to have to keep traveling up there for fittings and don't really know of any amazing local seamstresses.  I am looking for shops that carry a wide selection of designers like Jim Hjelm, Maggie Sottero, Reem Acra, Justin Alexander, Allure etc.    Any suggestions would be welcome.  I am a little unsure of what kind of dress I want so I need someplace that will have a large selection of styles and designers.

I ordered my dress from White Swan in Vienna. It hasn't arrived yet, so I can't tell you anything about the alterations experience. They have a wide selection with a variety of different designers and price points. I also went to Priscilla of Boston in Tysons Corner. From what I experienced, the service was great. I've also heard good things about Hannelores in Old Town Alexandria.

What about Hitched (in Georgetown)?  Or ... Hannelore's (in Old Town Alexandria)?

I would suggest Love Couture Bridal in Potomac. I ordered my dress from there. I am waiting on it now. Sandy, Brandy, and Jeanie are the BEST!!!!

I would HIGHLY recommend Bridal Images in Rockville, they have the sweetest ladies there and designer gowns are in pristine condition!  They've been around for many years and have the experience to help you.  And it shows. Here is their website for you:

You can also try Blush Bridal Boutique. They have a big selection of Justin Alexander dresses. I bought a gorgeous Justin Alexander Couture for my wedding. Patti, their seamstress is amazing! I'm super short and she had to do lots to hem my gown.
