I attended a wedding in my home town of Detroit last summer and was impressed by the family style dinner service. Basically, instead of a buffet or an individual platted dinner, there were large platters of the dishes on each table and we helped ourselves. Think Bucca di Peppo. I thought this would be a great way to get a communal, family feel at my reception.
Does anyone know of any caterers who offer this service as an alternative to the plated dinner, or buffet style arrangement?
