bridal dress search begins

I'm just starting my dress search and am really tired of seeing the same old stuff. Does anyone know of any shops that dont have alll traditional borring dresses? Davids is out, none of thier things appeal to me. at all.
The wedding is outside so I dont want a ball gown per say.
where did you get your dress?? how has the staff been?? your experience so far??

Priscilla of Boston, VA=large selection of pretty dresses=and great services offered

although since you're not looking for a ball gown, I would say hit up some of the department stores. Lord & Taylor at Tyson's Corner has a whole section of gorgeous white dresses that are totally wedding dresses and all under $500 (most are under $300!).

I looked there and at the Nordstrom Wedding Suite at Tyson's, we didn't even make it to the other stores there. I found one at L&T that i really loved, but then one at the Nordstrom Wedding Suite that i loved even more. You can check out a lot of their dresses online, but I highly recommend calling Norstrom and making an appoinment in their bridal suite because they had a lot of dresses to try on in the store that they didn't have online. the dress i ended up getting isn't online The consultant pulled a dress I would've never picked myself. When she walked in with it my mom, my MOH and myself all made "eeeew" faces. i alsmost didn't try it on. i'm so glad i did though because i started falling in love with it as soon as we got it zipped up! and that's the one i ended up getting. lol
