I'm using Issa Michel and he has better prices than what you have listed....Also, he shoots in a photojournalistic style which was what we were looking for too.  He owns his own business, so that may be why his prices are a little better.  Here is his site

Seems like a good deal to me.  Our package is $2750 for only 1 photographer and no prints.

Thanks ladies - I think I may be sold, I had a different type of album in mind so I asked if she could remove the album (I plan to buy a different one online) - it didnt lower the cost much so after talking with her I think we decided to swap the engagement session for a boudoir session and have the album of my boudoir shots - I'm so excited!

Are a lot of you choosing the boudoir sessions? I'm on the fence about it.

    No.

I may consider boudoir pics for our first anniversary, but I'm not adding another thing to my to-do list for the actual wedding.

I am only doing it because an engagement session is included in our package - when I asked if it could be removed it basically didnt cut the cost any because the package we are looking at is a "sale price" and if we start removing things it goes to "a la cart" pricing which is more expensive.  She told me I could sub the boudoir session for the engagement session since we already have some photos my mom took.

Mine is similar - but includes one photographer, 8 hours of coverage, 1album for us with about 30 prints and two smaller albums for our parents.

I just checked her website - pricing may have gone up a bit since we booked.  We negotiated through Brian Ray Studios so I never asked about her rate, just told her our budget was around $3k and we ended up going up to $3,125 because everything was going to be included.

    I'm using Chris Le Photography.

I think we have him for 7 hours, 2 photographers, album, prints are ours after a year and I think our package is around $2K.  Can't remember exactly because I don't have it with me.  And he has all kinds of different choices for albums...beautiful work.  He is a friend of my fiance's - he worked with him years ago and we helped get him started by having him shadow my friend's photographer for her wedding.

Don't underestimate the importance of the engagement shoot.  Even if you don't use the shots for anything, it allows you and your Fiance to get comfortable with each other in front of the camera.  It will make your photos MUCH more natural come the day of the wedding. Don't shcedule the engagement shoot too far out from your wedding date, you want to be able to remember some of the techniques the photographer should give you for good shots.

Also, look at it as a fun thing to do together, where you can just spend some quality time with your fiance.

I used Linda Wang Photography www.lindawangphotography.com. She has a great eye for capturing the moment, and she was really easy to work with. She sent us the photos three weeks after our wedding. She charges $1,800 for six hours -- it was worth every penny!

We had done a lot of research when shopping wedding photogrpahers.  We met at least 4 photographers and we signed Carmen Wang Photography.  Our wedding package is $2500:

    8 hour by 2 photographers
DVD with high reso photos with print rights
    10x10 album
    Photo montage

Our wedding photos are the first wedding photo on her website:
