I confess that I'm way too happy to have DH leave me home alone this weekend.  Since his gma's cancer diagnosis, he's decided to go to NY alone.  They're going to pity themselves while I dye my hair and run a bunch of errands... and sleep in.  Good deal.

I confess that while I love the way my hairdresser did my highlights for the wedding, I'm too cheap to go back for a touch up and lowlights.  I'll be doing it at home again.  I need to learn to pamper myself.

I confess that while I'm super excited to visit two of my BMs in Tarrytown this weekend. I'm kinda bummed about not being with FI. Especially since when he comes he drives. I know it's only a weekend, but I really love spending time with him and it seems like we only get that on the weekends. Plus I hate driving at night, especially alone to places I've never been. Here's hoping the tom tom doesn't send me in the wrong direction.

Confession #2: While I really love where I work and most of the people around me are wonderful, I kind of bored here. I need some new responsibilities and something to keep me occupied - which since I'm on the knot now, it's clearly not doing.

I confess that instead of loosing weight to fit into a cocktail dress I wore two weeks before my own wedding, I'm thinking about just getting another dress for a wedding we have in a couple weeks.

Dear Boss,
I think you're awesome, and I'm so glad we have a great working relationship, but "irregardless" isn't a word. There's another one, too, that drives me crazy, but I'm too busy being the Marketing Director for our department (not my job title or even in my job description, btw), that I can't even think of it right now. Let's tackle "irregardless" first and we'll work on the others later, k?

I am also too cheap to go for color/highlights. I think we should have a hair highlight/lowlight GTG.

Irregardless drives me crazy!!!!  At least Merriam Webster notes that it is a "long way from general acceptance."

Also, Wikipedia notes irregardless is usually considered "nonstandard" or "incorrect."

We received a baby shower invite for FI cousins the other day...on the back it reads "suggestioned gifts : money and gift cards". I am not the best speller nor am I very good at grammar but I am pretty certain suggestioned is not a word (you can correct me if I am wrong).

Asking for money and gift cards is another story.

My sister used "ain't" the other day and told me mom "don't tell me ain't ain't a word it is in the dictionary!" It has a similar discription with it ;)

AW- I got a flu shot... is that AW worthy? IDK but it is a good thing to get a flu shot!

Vent- I am not sure what is going on with my root canal tooth, or the cap or whatever but I hope it is ok. I have sensitivity there and it is bothering me when I drink or eat cold and hot food. I made an appointment so I hope it is nothing serious. I don't want them to rip the cap off and if they do it might damage it and I will have to get another one! I don't have the money for that crap! Stupid dental work.

Confession- I confess I am SICK and TIRED of being SICK and TIRED! I got muscinex so I hope that works and gets rid of the gunk and I will feel better soon.

I confess work is driving me INSANE this week. I even had off on Monday. AND I especially hate when I get home and check my work email (just to see what's going on) and people send me emails that are "urgent" and "must be done immediately" but they know I leave at 5 o'clock for the day. Then they bitch and complain that they didn't get done quick enough even though I do it as soon as I get in the next morning. Seriously, people?! Ugh.

I feel better now :-)

AW - getting my name changed today!

Vent - My parents are really pissing me off with this whole job search thing. It's been one week people!!! I understand I haven't had a job in a year but that's because I've been planning a wedding so I didn't give the job search 110%.

Vent - I'm really annoyed with DH's dog. He's so bad. He's really spiteful and it's pissing me off. I'm also annoyed that the stupid dog prevents me from getting a good night sleep because he keeps jumping on the damn bed!!! I'm also annoyed that the queen is soo damn small.  WTF?!  We were sleeping on a full for the past few months idk how I got more sleep on that then a queen.

hahah loving the pet peeves of words today! I'm the same way. Two that bother me the most - ignorant and arrogant. Both words, but by today's youth and even elders they are hardly used correctly.

Confession - scared to get a flu shot. It got my mom broncitis (sp?) and phneumonia this past week and weekend - and FI got really sick off one a couple years ago. Not sure what to do. Although they're free at my work....hmmm.....

Vent - I am currently on hold with Comcast (for like the billionth call in the last 3 weeks) trying to get credit for equipment we returned.  I'm trying to be patient/nice with the customer service folks because I know its not their fault, but I'm at the end of my rope.  I may have to pull a "let me talk to the manager" on this one.

Why the heck do you think that grad students have the time to do all the busy work and stupid assignments you make us do. Do not post assignments on Tuesday and expect me to finish it by Thursday. I work and am taking three class ... I need time. Why is it necessary to have three outside resources for each question. I bought a book for a reason, I don't mind the occasional outside citations, but for each question really?

AW: I am 98% sure we found our photographer last night!

Confession: While we both liked her the best of the 3 we have visted. and we would both be very happy with her. I am still kinda worried. More cause of money then anything else. She is a great deal. and her best package is only about 200 over budget but would be worth it. I think I am hesitating cause I am basically living off of FI. I have a part time job but its really part time, and I have no savings (Grad School wiped them out last year). I just hesitate over the big "purchases". I like my little indulgences but big things scare me.

cfblechman - the good thing is that you have 19 months to save!  The big numbers are intimidating now, but you don't have to pay it all up front.  Allow yourself some time by making payments as they're due.  Congrats on finding your photog!!!!

MiguelHilary - do you have twitter? I had this exact problem, and it took forever to get my refund.  I put a complaint on Twitter, and literally got a response from a VP 20 minutes later.  I got my refund, no waiting, no problems.  I suggest you give that a try...

Ev - I don't have twitter.  I actually got a somewhat local and helpful person this time when I called.  I'm giving them another week (end of the billing cycle) to clean it up.  Then all hell might break loose.

MH: Thanks for the kind words! I know that rationally but my silly brain doesnt for some reason. Also the FI has enough money saved up that it isnt a problem. But like I said still nervous about it even though I know its ok. Sometimes I swear being emotional sucks. I just need to realize what my head already knows if that makes any sense. Thanks again though! Starting to get excited about it. Although I wont like filling out the contract, maybe ill make FI do that :P
