Rec for Well-Priced Florist?

Ladies,
I am looking for a good and well-priced florist.  Got any recommendations?  I've got one quote but, just to give you an idea, the florist wants to charge $75 just for 14 loose roses for the cake.  This is crazy.  I need a good recommendation! :)

I second Heather from Stylish Stems! Her name is Heather Oliver tho..... We are going with her and she is such a sweetheart! I cant wait to see her work! I have more details in my bio about her.

She actually did a wedding that FI was in in July and she went above and beyond her florist job description by helping all the guys cut off their tags to their suits!

Angie Gunja from Birch Blooms! She works out of her home and is FABULOUS. She has a young, modern approach and is a truly gifted artist. She's been the breath of fresh air I've needed with all the wedding stress :) You can email her at birchblooms@gmail.com. Good luck!

I'm not sure if this is an option for you (I didn't have flowers for my wedding of March 2008) but my daughter wanted flowers for hers in September.  We were being quoted $500 for about 100 Gerbera Daisies.  I ended up ordering them from fiftyflowers.  They were bigger, and better than I've seen in any florist.  It took me about 90 minutes to put them into the arrangements.  I had spent about $1 each on tall buckets that I found on sale at Garden Ridge, and bought florist tape, the green foam to place the stems in, and florist wire.  We had 8 arrangements and the entire thing cost me less than $200, including the supplies and shipping.  Fiftyflowers was amazing to work with--they called me within 15 minutes of placing my online order to confirm the colors and number of flowers.  They also called me the day before and the day of the delivery date, and then called me the day after to see how everything went.

However, the DIY route may not be an option for many.

If you pick up a copy of The Knot Georgia magazine on Monday you'll see her work in the Amy and Josh spread.
