    Not necessarily a trend, but I am over all the pre-wedding parties, showers, etc that people getting married feel they have to do. Its ridiculous.

    This one is more of a tradition than a trend, but keeping the top tier of the wedding cake until the 1st year anniversary. 
    The only time I've had "frozen" cake is when it's an ice cream cake.
    I would rather just buy a small cake that looks like the top tier and eat that.
