Florist - how far ahead

I think now this is the only big piece I am missing - my wedding is in November.  I SHOULD have the DJ under contract shortly (Thank you to everyone for your suggestions, you guys ROCK!) 

Anyways, how far ahead do I need to book my florist?  My reception is at The Atrium and I know I meet with them 4 months in advance for designs at the reception (including flowers), but I'll need flowers for my girls to hold at the actual wedding (at my church).

I am at Little Gardens and as a teacher i have a hard time getting out of work for these meeting so i actually had that meeting back in November during Thanksgiving break. My wedding is July 1, 2011. I decided to go with Magic Moments for everything and save myself a headache and the cost was about the same at the other places when you factor in delivery charges. Good Luck

I would start now! I waited till last minute and got a reality check on how much it all cost.  My florist was also great at helping me pull all of my decoration ideas together...I call her my David Tutera.  www.perfectpetals.com is her page if you are intrested.  She is great about helping you stay within your budget as well! I just set up a meeting with Petals for my Oct. 1st wedding. Sounds like you have a good experience with them. If you don't mind, what was your floral budget ?
