Wedding Officiant

Debbie at the RRL reccommended Rev. Donna Jernigan from All-Faith Weddings to me. I emailed her and she quoted me $300 for writing the ceremony, marrying us, and taking care of legal paperwork. She said if I wanted her at the rehersal it would be an additional $75. Is this a good price?

And although I wouldn't mind spending the extra $75, is there a reason she needs to be at the rehersal? I honestly don't know, I'm not just trying to be cheap lol.

Yes, that is a good price.

However, I would strongly recommend Rev Deanna Lancaster. I think she might be a little less, and she is so incredibly awesome. You'll love her.

Unless your venue is unique, or you are doing something "different" with your ceremony or procession, I don't see any need for her to be at the rehearsal, unless you want her to run things for you.

We are using Dr. George Callahan.  He charged us $400 (normally charges $500) due to the economy and we are paying for our wedding ourselves, and this is what that includes:

    1. Pre-wedding marriage counseling (optional)
    2. Meeting to discuss ideas, etc.
    3. Rehearsal
    4. Actual ceremony
    5. Calligraphic Marriage Certificate
    6. Filing of all paperwork

He is very easy to work with, is an actual Minister but performs non-denominational ceremonies, and has a great personality.

We are using Ken May, he's a minister at a church in Canton.. He's charging $250 for the ceremony, the filing, and to travel to our site (at Big Canoe). He has been absolutely wonderful to work with, I stumbled upon him when I had about given up on finding a minister we liked.. The first person we met with we weren't super fond of & he was going to charge $450, everyone after that charged between $350-$500 which I was just really not wanting to spend..
