Help! Last Minute Budget friendly June 30th wedding

Yes we just might be crazy! We are recently engaged and would like to plan a small/intimate (less than 30ppl) wedding June 30th. Any ideas on venues? One thought we have had is to rent a vacation house and have a ceremony and small reception there? Has anyone seen this done? Know of any good affordable rentals out there?

Are you looking to be in the metro Atlanta area? Or closer to the mountains/wineries, or coastal region where vacation rentals are found?

In the city try: La Bam Art Studio (all names are links)
Stonehurst Place (Max capacity=24, I think) More info on them here

The Barrel Room at Blackstock Vineyards in Dahlonega seats 20 (40 standing)
Wolf Mountain Vineyards in Dahlonega has a wine cellar that seats up to 60.

Savannah also has a ton of B&B's with small rooms or elopement packages. Ballastone Inn looks nice, but only allows 6 guests
Forsyth Park Inn has an elopement package for up to 30 guests.
Both the Hamilton Turner Inn and the Azalea Inn look good, but don't have capacity for guests on their websites (nothing a quick e-mail can't find out).

I also had some friends get married on the beach at sunrise on Tybee Island. It was beautiful (and early). So if you want beachside, that should be easy to find. Hope this helps! Good luck!
  • Thanks! I will look at these places. We are mainly looking at metro atlanta and surrounding suburbs. But if it looks prominsing we are willing to go to the mountains or coast. I probably should have mentioned we have a $2000-$4000 budget as well.
  • I know there is a gazebo in Sugar Hill, GA we looked at that is I think like $300 and then you just have to rent the chairs, arches, etc that you need. They have a community center next to the gazebo you can use for the reception. I toured it, but decided to go with the vines mansion. It's pretty amazing, and if you book on a friday I think it's under $4,000. I can't rememeber but Saturday is a bit more. I'm also doing a pretty budget wedding except for my venue. Check out fotografieatlanta.com for photography and Sweet Delights by Vicki for cakes.

    HAPPY PLANNING :D
  • The Cultural Arts Center in Douglasville is $300 for Friday and $800 for Saturday. It includes your tables and chairs. There is a local cater Gabe's Dowtown that is fairly reasonable as well and are able to provide everything from center pieces to linens.
  • Chateau élan has an intimate package for 25 for less than $4k

I went to a wedding there last month that did the intimate package on a Friday night - it was BEAUTIFUL!!  The ceremony was held in the vineyard.  There was a reception room.  Afterwards, a smaller core headed to the pub to finish off the evening. Definitely look into this.
  • Have you looked at The Tisinger House. They might be able to do it www.thetisingerhouse.com
