Hey ladies. I saw this on another board and thought it would be good here. I'm sure it's been done before, but it's been a while I think. I've gone back a bit in the posts and it seems that a year or two ago more of the Atlanta Knotties knew each other and there were a little less "one and done" posters. Same type questions as far as venue, caterers, etc, of course, and it's to be expected as people get married and move on and new people get engaged and have the same beginning questions, but I thought a little getting to know you post will keep the board updated and have it be more of a community. Lurkers come out and play!!!! We need to update the wedding sticky, too! I know a few people just had weddings or their weddings are coming up! I'd love to hear about them!

Hobbies/Activities: running, reading, looking at houses we can't afford online. 
Favorite Thing About Your SO: He loves me more than I love myself. He is my constant cheerleader and has never let me get down on myself or think that I'm not good enough. 
Least Favorite Thing About Your SO: He doesn't like to ask for help. It drives me nuts.
Describe Your Personality: Laid back. I like routine during the week, but like having absolutely no plans, or loose plans on weekends. I am kind of all or nothing when it comes to certain things. I'm either sweatpants or black tie (no in between). 
Snark Level (1 [low snark] - 10 [high snark]): 5. I don't like snark for snarks sake, but I will definitely partake if it's called for. I usually start out giving genuine advice and turn to snark after a b!tchy reply.
I've Been On TK Since: forever. No really. I have no idea when I started this account. I became active on the NEY board Jan of 2011 I think. I've been there ever since, and recently here after I got engaged. 
How You Came to Be On TK: I don't actually know. I think according to the date I was like 18 when I joined (weird). Probably just young and dreaming of my day. I became active when FI and I got really serious.  
Favorite book/author: F. Scott Fitzgerald (Great Gatsby) and Jane Austen (P&P). I also love Emily Giffin. I just finished Half Broke Horses by Jeannette Walls and that, and her first book, are fantastic.

Do you blog/have a planning bio: yes! I've been blogging for a long time. And I just did my planning bio/wedding blog. I'm a nerd like that. See siggy.

Tell Us Something Interesting About Yourself: I made a non-resolution (I hate new year's resolutions) to run a race (5K or 10K) every month this year and so far so good! I haven't run April's race yet, but I did just find out I got into the Peachtree road race through the lottery (it'll be my 5 or 6th time running it) and I'm super excited about that!

Loves: Reading, posting online, outdoorsy things, arts and crafts, beef jerky, Criminal Minds & Game of Thrones, bad tv (Jerry Springer, Bridezillas), most music, cooking (baking in particular), flavored rums and vodkas mixed with fruit juice, and learning new things. 
Hates: Rudeness, driving ITP, most country music, Toddlers in Tiaras, the calories in cheese dip, beer, vaccuming (especially stairs), my neighborhood HOA, seafood, my cell phone, and the price of airplane tickets.
Pet Peeves: Vendors clogging up the boards, people that are rude for no reason, cashiers that are not polite to customers, being able to hear someone chewing (especially gum), people that don't get off their cellphone when checking out at a store or ordering at a resturaunt, and people that use excessive abbreviations.
Hobbies/Activities: Posting on TK, reading, crafting, and hiking. 
Favorite Thing About Your SO: He's very sweet. He's the only person I know that wouldn't get mad at me for calling him at 5 am because I want to hear his voice before bed (there is a 5 hour time difference).
Least Favorite Thing About Your SO: He cares too much about what other people think sometimes. If I ask him what he thinks about a certain idea for the wedding, his first response is usually "Is that a normal thing for weddings? "
Describe Your Personality: I'm pretty shy normally. If I'm forced to be alone with you after just meeting you I'm likely to ask questions that involve long detailed answers so that I don't have to say anything and can just listen politely. I'm also pretty laid back, I'd rather things be chill than be perfect if you know what I mean. I can also be quick to anger - although it's also quick to go. I have terrible road rage although I would never go as far as to honk at someone, make obscene gestures as I pass by, or roll down my window. Normally it involves me cursing loudly as they do something I consider to be stupid. 
Snark Level (1 [low snark] - 10 [high snark]): I'm about a 5 or 6. If I think someone is being rude for no reason I am quick to be snarky, or if someone responds to well meant advice with bitchyness. But if someone posts a question asking if something really rude is okay to do, normally I'll just say "No, this is why, this is what you should do instead" rather than "You're an idiot and should go jump in a hole.". I'm a 10 for vendors that try to advertise.
I've Been On TK Since: Not sure how long I've been on here. I know I signed up before I got engaged to scope things out, and have been on and off ever since. I've only become REALLY active recently.
How You Came to Be On TK: It was reccommended by my cousin. 
Favorite book/author: My favorite books are the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling - although there are sooo many others that I really love. Do you blog/Have a planning bio: Not really. I have a link to one in my siggy but now it's just a wedding website for my guests. I should probably take that down, actually.Tell Us Something Interesting About Yourself: Well, my FI and I met online on a chat room. He lives in England and I live in GA. After the wedding, I am going to be moving to England to live with him. And yes - we have met in person before ; )

I can't just choose one.  Do you blog/Have a planning bio: nope. no time!Tell Us Something Interesting About Yourself:  I knew FI and I were going to get married in the middle of our first date.  I had no doubts whatsoever.  We were living together within 6 months and engaged after 7.  it would have been sooner but the distance between us made it hard... I had to find a new job before relocating and that took about 4 1/2 months.

How You Came to Be On TK: Originally I was helping an international friend with no close (distance-wise) family to help plan his wedding. But then my love popped the question, so now I'm here for me.
Favorite book/author: No real single favorite, but a few include: Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen. The Canterbury Tales (The Miller's Tale, anyone?) - Geoffrey Chaucer. And (technically not a book) The Cask of Amontillado - Edgar Allan Poe. I'm a dork.

Tell Us Something Interesting About Yourself: Something I think is awesome: I asked my guy out (repeatedly - had to pursue him a bit), and it was absolutely the best decision I ever made. Also, I am really good at opening doors with my toes... (that's more something others would find interesting, I suppose). :-)
