MARRIED! Now for Atlanta vendor reviews!!

Photographer--35 Atlanta, Ray and Erica.  They were AMAZING!  Totally went beyond my expectations and were so creative.  THey were cool to hang out with too.  It was nice to have someone around saying "Yes, this is normal" since they go to weddings for a living.  =)  Loved them!!  Can't wait to see the pics when they're finished.

Day-of coordinator--Sashay Events, Alyssa and Katy.  By far my favorite vendors.  They made the day... actually the whole week before... so easy.  They took extra steps to perfect the reception site and prepped for every step along the way.  I highly recommend hiring a day-of coorindator if you're at all considering it.

Band--Moxie.  SO FUN!!  We loved having live music.  They rocked out the dance floor all night--even skipped one of their breaks!  They learned two songs especially for our special dances.

Cake--Eileen Carter Creations.  Um, yum.  We had 3 flavors on 5 different tiers.  She was exactly what I wanted--a lady who bakes cakes out of her home and makes amazing buttercream icing.  She initially didn't like my design for the cake but, once we got it sketched out and played with it, she ended up loving it.  It was still good a week later when we got back from the honeymoon.  MMMM!

Florist--Viridis Designs Alison Carlson.  First of all, I loved her personally.  And secondly, I LOVED my reception decor and personal flowers.  Thridly, I loved her price.  She was very reasonable and super creative.  Alison was willing to reuse all most all the ceremony decor and bouquets at the reception.  Let me say this though--she is super tough to contact with via email or phone.  It was pretty frustrating honestly.  In the end, I didn't care b/c my flowers were so gorgeous and she is such a cool person.

Caterer--Proof of the Pudding.  WOW!!  They were really great to work with--especially at our tasting.  The chef invented a dish just for us that our guests were raving about.  Our buffet was great!  But DH and I had our own private dinner with a server which I wasn't expecting.  Of course, I ate practically nothing.  They saved me at the end of the night by packing us a really nice to-go bag--tupperware with some of the buffet food, chocolate covered strawberries, wedding cake, wine, plus a wine opener, plates, chocolates and wine glasses!

PM me with any questions or comments!  HTH!!

Where did you have the ceremony and reception??

Ceremony was at Mt Vernon Baptist where DH is a member.  Beautiful and very traditional looking church--they also have an organ (bonus in my book!).

Reception was at Summerour Studio in West Midtown.  It was beyond fabulous!!!!  We had dinner ALONE overlooking a view of the skyline.  AMAZING.  Best part of the night by far.  I didn't list b/c I heard that Novare Events (managing company) is dropping them b/c of an extremely drastic increase in rental fees.  If it is still available for rental, I highly recommend it.  Our guests are complimenting it left and right still and it's "new" for Atlanta.  However--their bartenders did serve a couple of underage guests which I had warned them about but oh well. At least the kids had fun.  =)

    Ah!  I forgot invitations!!

PIggyback Productions--Nancy was awesome and has flawless taste.  She has so much to choose from with lots of little sales every now and then to order stationary.  That was a big help when I needed more thank-you cards before and then a big "new name" order for all the wedding gifts.
