Classic Cheesecake

Has anyone ever used the Classic Cheesecake for their wedding cake?  I've had their cakes and LOVE them, but they said they start at $6/slice.

Is that high for nice cakes from Atlanta?  Trying to find out if that price is worth it....

Uh - $6/slice is incredibly high for cakes in Atlanta.  The majority of wedding cake places charge anywhere from $2.50 per serving up to $4.50 per serving.  The more specialty cakes from famous bakeries (as in ones promoted by celebrities) are around $5+ per slice, but I'd expect a masterpiece for that price.

Hydrophile: where have you found $2.50 per slice because every bakery I call wants $4.50 + per slice (for buttercream icing). I'm so discouraged by that amount so any info on a less expensive baker would be helpful! :)

Razzle Dazzle in Dahlonega starts at $2.00.  I will have to try to remember all of the bakeries I've come across.  I just typed "wedding cakes" + "Atlanta" and surfed through various websites showing the price per slice.  I believe The Bumble Bee Bakery in Hiram starts at $3.00 or so.  I know our bakery starts at $2.50 per slice (and that's fondant.)

Where do you live? Are you close to Douglasville and the west side?

The Kneaded Perk Cafe and Bakery is much cheaper than that and they do fantastic work! Check them out, they're located in the Mall of Ga and another shop in the Gwinnett Place area.
